Stained glass for decorating windows and doors has been known since the 11th century. Lead has been the main material used for the outline holding into position different coloured glass to complete the picture.
These materials 1000 years on, have now been superseded by the use of acrylic resins put onto glass by computer to give that stained glass finish, UV stable, waterproof and with a range of colours as colourful as any rainbow.
Decorative Resins International supply the resins, pigments and machines for all your glass staining requirements. We are also able to spray resins on to metal - click the picture of the cathedral below to zoom in on the example just below the dome.
